Team Bonk’s Georgia Grace Spence Heads to Pebble Beach for the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship
We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for one of our own. Georgia Grace Spence, standout junior golfer and proud member of Team Bonk, has earned an invitation to compete in the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee, taking place September 15–20 at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course on California’s Monterey Peninsula.
This prestigious event marks the 23rd year of the tournament and PURE Insurance’s 10th as title sponsor. It brings together 80 outstanding juniors ages 15–18 from 52 First Tee chapters across the country—including first-time chapters Oakland and Tallahassee. Each junior is carefully selected by a national panel based on character, life skills, and playing ability. The 2026 field averages an impressive 7.5 years of involvement with First Tee, and Georgia Grace represents First Tee – Lakeland with distinction.
A Rising Star from Lakeland
Georgia Grace Spence (Class of 2028) from McKeel Academy in Lakeland, Florida, has already built an impressive résumé. A three-time Central Florida Junior Player of the Year, Polk County Player of the Year, and multiple-time U.S. Kids Tour champion, she has claimed titles at the Hilton Head Junior Classic and Ritz-Carlton Manatee Junior Championship. On the high school stage, she captured the 2024 FHSAA 2A Regional Championship and finished third at the state championships, helping her team place third overall.
Off the course, Georgia Grace gives back as a Junior Coach with YMCA and First Tee programs—embodying the very values that make the PURE Insurance Championship so special. We’re proud she represents Team Bonk with the same dedication, grit, and character she shows every time she steps on the course.
How the Tournament Works
The PURE Insurance Championship features three concurrent competitions over three rounds (36 holes Friday and Saturday split between Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, with the top performers advancing to Sunday’s final round at Pebble Beach):• Professional: Individual stroke play. The low 50 professionals and ties advance to Sunday.• Pro-Junior Team: Each First Tee junior is paired 1:1 with a PGA TOUR Champions player in a best-ball format. The low 24 teams (12 boys and 12 girls) advance to Sunday.• Amateur Team: Foursome net best ball, with amateurs rotating partners among the pro-junior teams. The low 10 teams play Sunday.
Georgia Grace will compete alongside PGA TOUR Champions legends, gaining mentorship, building relationships, and showcasing both her game and the life skills she’s developed through First Tee.
Two Iconic Venues
Pebble Beach Golf Links has stood as golf’s most legendary oceanfront test since 1919. It hosts all three rounds, including the final on Sunday, and is open to spectators Friday through Sunday.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course, rated among the toughest courses in the world from the championship tees, hosts Friday and Saturday rounds alongside Pebble Beach (closed to spectators).
Playing these historic layouts is a career-defining opportunity for any junior golfer—and an experience Georgia Grace has earned through years of hard work.
