Team Bonk’s Victor Kornienko: Back-to-Back Champion of the St. Petersburg Cup

Team Bonk is proud to celebrate another historic achievement from our rising star, Victor Kornienko.

The 13-year-old phenom from St. Petersburg, Russia, has claimed the St. Petersburg Cup for the second consecutive year at the prestigious Peterhof Golf Club. The latest victory, completed on August 30, 2026, solidifies Victor as a two-time consecutive champion of one of the region’s premier events.

Peterhof Golf Club has become a happy hunting ground for Victor. In 2025, he captured the St. Petersburg Cup title while still just 12 years old, becoming one of the youngest winners in the event’s history. He followed that up by also winning the adult St. Petersburg Championship the same year—making him the youngest golfer ever to win both prestigious titles in a single season.

Repeating as Cup champion in 2026 further cements his status as the dominant force in St. Petersburg golf. Competing against seasoned adult players while still in his early teens, Victor continues to rewrite the record books with poise, precision, and an unshakable competitive mindset.

The Bigger Picture

Victor’s success at home is just one chapter in an already remarkable junior career. He has racked up wins and podium finishes across the United States and Europe, including strong performances on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and other elite junior circuits. Coached primarily by his father, Igor Kornienko—a multiple-time champion himself—Victor combines technical excellence with the mental toughness of a much older player.

From record-setting rounds to consecutive major regional titles, Victor keeps raising the bar for what’s possible at his age.
