Welcome to the 2025 Team Bonk Summer in Review, celebrating the incredible achievements of our talented golfers representing BONK Golf, the premium apparel brand that blends style, innovation, and performance. From record-breaking rounds to inspiring coaching milestones, our team has made waves on and off the course. Here’s a look at the standout moments from our Team Bonk members this year:
Caleb Clark
Caleb has had a phenomenal year, shattering records and racking up titles. He broke course records at The Ridge in Breckenridge with a -7 (28) on a nine-hole course and at Crooked Creek with a -11 (61). Caleb claimed the Club Championship, won the Saginaw 21 Club, and secured the Long Drive title at Metamora CC. A highlight of his year was meeting golf legend Jack Nicklaus, cementing his status as a rising star.
Iain Lowdean
Iain’s coaching reach has gone global, mentoring golfers from 55 countries, from beginners to professionals. His students have smashed goals, including first-time sub-par rounds and breaking 80, 90, and 100. Iain worked with the New York Jets, New York Giants, and at a Happy Gilmore 2 corporate event with US Bank and Collin Morikawa, as well as a LIV Golf event. He’s also coaching a junior from Pakistan who won their division, earning a chance to compete in Bahrain at the 3rd Asian Youth Olympics.
Sam Frishman
Sam, a standout junior golfer, won the Detroit Golf Club Junior Club Championship (17 and under) and the DGC Junior Golf Invitational. He shot an impressive 69 at The Cardinal from 5,600 yards, placed 12th at the Michigan State Invitational, and finished 103rd at the Under Armour Junior Tour World Championship (77-85). As the youngest First Tee Junior Coach in SE Michigan history, Sam is inspiring the next generation.
Conor Russell
Conor dominated the junior circuit, winning The Kensington Tour and earning two runner-up finishes on the same tour, plus two more on the US Kids Golf Tour. He also placed 5th in the US Kids State Tournament in Frankenmuth, showcasing his consistency and competitive drive.
Mike “The Builder” Bezilla
A meteorologist and professional fling golfer, Mike balanced multiple talents in 2025. He won the Capon Springs Pro-Am and secured a top 25 finish at the Fling Golf Keystone Classic, proving his versatility and skill in this exciting format of the game.
Carly Cook
Carly’s rapid rise in golf is nothing short of inspiring. After just one month of playing, she earned a spot on her high school’s varsity team, thanks to her dedicated coach. Golf has opened doors for Carly to form new friendships and connect with a vibrant community, fueling her passion for the sport.
Bryson Chang
At just 9 years old, Bryson continues to shine. He won the 2025 USKG Texas Open (32/34), placed 2nd at the USKG Desert Shootout (36/39), and finished T36 at the USKG Worlds (75/73/76). As the 2025 USKG Seattle Local Tour Champion, Bryson is a testament to Team Bonk’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
Doug Piesko
Doug had a busy 2025, joining Team Bonk and starring in commercials alongside Caleb Clark. He took 2nd at the GolfZon Tour Finals, narrowly missed US Open Sectionals by one stroke, and maintained a +5 handicap. As a golf instructor, Doug helped a client drop from a 35 to a 15 handicap and began his journey toward PGA certification, passing the PAT and Qualifying level. Upcoming: Toledo Open (Sep. 8-9) and GolfZon Tour playoffs through November.
Parker McGehee
Parker excelled in 2025, earning 7 performance stars in AJGA tournaments and placing top 10 at an AJGA preview event in Youngstown, Ohio. Named Most Improved Golfer at Kingwood Park for the 2024/2025 school year, he finished 2nd individually and 1st with his team at districts, and 12th at regionals as a freshman. His summer scoring average was an impressive 76.2.
Vaughn Rogers
Vaughn’s 2025 was a breakout year. He achieved scratch golfer status, averaged a 76, and made the starting lineup for his college team for the first time. With a tournament personal record of 72, Vaughn is set to graduate in December and will take on the role of Director of Golf at Bahle Farms GC post-graduation.
