Hannah Sword Advances to PGA Jr. League Regionals
Bonk Golf is proud to celebrate one of our own: Hannah Sword.
Hannah, from Team Bonk , competes for the PGA Jr. League team out of Medina Country Club in Medina, Ohio. After a strong regular season, she earned a spot in the Northern Ohio postseason. The first round took place August 7-8 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk, Ohio, in a stroke-play format using two-person scramble.
Hannah and her teammates rose to the occasion. They posted the lowest team score of the day with a 99 and advanced to the next stage of the bracket. (The lowest score posted 👀).
Day two shifted to nine holes of match play, where the best of three holes won a flag. Hannah and her teammates delivered again, securing a landslide victory in the semifinals. In the final round of the sectional, the team combined for an impressive –16. Hannah and her partner alone contributed a –4 over their nine holes.
That performance locked in their place as Northern Ohio sectional champions and earned a trip to the next level.
What’s next
Hannah and her Medina Country Club teammates head to Bedford Valley at Gull Lake View Golf Resort in Battle Creek, Michigan, for PGA Jr. League Regionals, September 25-27. There they will face other sectional champions from Michigan, Indiana, southern Ohio, and northern Ohio. Regionals are the final stop before the National Championship in Frisco, Texas.
To top it off, Hannah also posted her personal best 18-hole score this past weekend—playing entirely on her own, no caddie. A well-earned milestone that shows her game and maturity continues to grow.
From Medina Country Club to Eagle Creek and now on to Michigan, Hannah is representing Bonk Golf with skill, composure, and steady improvement. We’re proud to have her on Team Bonk and can’t wait to follow the next chapter at Regionals.
Keep grinding, Hannah. Bonk Golf is with you all the way. 🔥🔥❤️❤️⛳️🗡️
