What a Week for Team Bonk! Team Bonk’s Gustavo Cases and Olivia Barnes Shine Bright

This past week, two of our young athletes showed the world what heart, attitude, and hard work can do on the golf course.

From battling serious health challenges to competing as the youngest and smallest in a tough field, Gustavo and Olivia reminded us why we love this game and why we build apparel that helps juniors grind through anything.

Gustavo Cases: US Kids Golf Orlando Tour Champion – Pure Heart

Incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Gustavo Cases captured the 2026 US Kids Golf Orlando Tour Championship title in the boys division. This is a huge win on one of the most competitive local tours in the country.

What makes it even more, Gustavo has been recovering from viral myelitis following a bout of the flu, as well as a broken toe.  He’s been physically drained, yet he stepped up and played with nothing but heart. No excuses, just pure determination from start to finish.

That’s the Bonk spirit: showing up, pushing through, and getting it done when your body says otherwise. We’re beyond proud to have Gustavo repping the brand and can’t wait to see what’s next for this warrior.

Congratulations, champ! 🏆

Olivia Barnes: 2nd Place at the PKBGT Masters – Attitude Over Everything

While Gustavo was grinding in Orlando, Olivia Barnes was in Greenville, NC, taking on the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Tour (PKBGT) Masters in the Futures Division (girls aged 11-18).

At just 11 years old (Class of 2033), Olivia was the youngest and smallest player in the entire field, yet she still finished 2nd place with rounds of 75-77.

The weekend threw everything at them: a tough golf course at Greenville Country Club, plus rapidly changing weather on day two that brought gusting winds and rain. Olivia came within one inch of an eagle on the 18th hole that would have forced a playoff. That’s golf for you — so close, yet such a statement performance.

As Olivia put it so perfectly,

“Age and size are only numbers. It’s the attitude and hard work you bring to the competition!”

She backed those words up in a big way, moving up 50 spots in the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) rankings. That kind of jump doesn’t happen by accident — it’s the result of consistent work and fearless play.

Olivia already boasts over 100 junior tournament wins, a 2025 LPGA USGA Girls Golf National Championship title, and a runner-up finish at the U.S. Kids World Championship. This weekend just added another chapter to an already impressive young career.

Proud to Support the Next Generation

Weeks like this are why Bonk Golf exists. We design hats, apparel, and performance gear for players who bring energy, resilience, and joy to the game — whether they’re battling health issues or staring down older, bigger competitors.

To Gustavo and Olivia (and all the families and coaches behind them): thank you for representing Team Bonk with such class and determination. You inspire us every time you tee it up.

Here’s to more wins, more growth, and more moments where attitude and hard work turn “only numbers” into something special.

Keep grinding. We’ve got the gear to match your fight.
